Silverton is an historic mining town and is about 30 km from Broken Hill. The
town is sparsely populated now with a host of small tourism enterprises
making use of the historic buildings. It’s famous for its silver and lead
deposits. Most of the actual mines are around the surrounding town’s area.
The town has also been used for several movies over the years. Donkeys,
horses and camels just roam the streets and general area
